More dark elves

Slow and steady.

Very slow.

I've painted some more old school lead. They are still wip as I need to do their banner. After this I have more of these. I plan on a unit of 16.

The spider theme on the shield turned out ok I think and will be a recurrung theme, just have to get a gigantic spider on ebay.

Beastmen

Long ago, in different life, i was young, single and had all the time in the world to get some sleep. So I stayed up all night and painted miniatures listening to Iron Maiden. These days I rarely get all the sleep I need, the reason is joyous, as I am the proud father of a three year old. The lack of sleep leads to lack of painting. But I can always pick up the minis I painted back then to remind me of the glory days of not studying and instead painting and playing.

So heres some of my large collection of beastmen.

Here's a beastman shaman I converted from a chaos sorcerer.

And below we have a chariot, this was done way before the current beastman book, so was just meant to be a normal chariot.

Some hounds.

Beastmen Gor.

And some of my bestigor, these are all heavily converted, with greenstuff armour, and two handed axes. I have twenty of these, but here's just a small selection.

Another shaman

A beastlord.

And last but not least, wruffles the spawn.

The army is much larger, but I haven't taken the time to take pics yet.
Enjoy.

An event.

In october 2013 we dedicated an entire weekend to funhammer. Loads of game mastered scenarios, ending in a large multiplayer battle of good vs. Evil. It was awesome. As soon as it ended I started thinking about the next event. This week we booked the location( a nice little cellar, with room for three tables) last year every game had a GM, this time it will be different.

The setup is 7 players. We will have three rounds of games on the saturday, with three players taking turns to be the GM of all the games. Every player brings a fun army of 2000 points, and a scenario. That means we still need 2 scenarios, but that should be easily fixed as we have a great catalouge of homebrewed scenarios.

Won't it be hard to GM 3 games at once? Well, the scenarios should be supportive of the GM, meaning they should be playable with only a little hands on GM'ing. The narrative and rules for the scenario should be all the players need for starting the game.

Knowing the gamers they will probably fill the scenarios with tons of neutral units that the GM has to move around, so there should be plenty to do, apart from drink beers as GM.

I have already planned my scenario, it involves great birds of prey, egghunting and a table for random effects.

Sundays gaming have yet to be determined, but I'm thinking some kind of multiplayer battle with myself as GM. But I think I will ask the players what they want to do :)

Fear of the dark(elves)

Well, I'm off to a slow start, lack of sleep have let to not me not painting much. But I have started to paint my first Dark elves. Well 3rd ed. Dark elves anyways, I already have 2 painted Dark elf armies. I started out with this ol' wizard. Lord blackheart he is, lucky cousin of Lord Darksoul, my ever suicidal general. More to come on their stories, for now, a picture.
